Learn. Explore. Apply.
The Ecotourism Foundations Program is a modular learning experience specifically crafted to introduce participants to the principles and practices of ecotourism, sustainability, and conservation.
This conservation program merges academic learning with practical experiences in natural and community landscapes. Participants start with structured online learning and subsequently apply their knowledge during immersive field experiences in India’s conservation regions.
This approach enables learners to grasp how tourism, conservation, and local livelihoods are interconnected — and how responsible ecotourism can benefit both people and ecosystems.
Certification
Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate acknowledging their involvement in both the academic and field components of this sustainability-focused initiative.
Participants in this conservation program will attend weekly online sessions that introduce the foundational concepts of ecotourism.

The conservation program is designed for a diverse group of learners interested in sustainability and nature-based careers: school students eager to engage in environmental learning; university students studying tourism, sustainability, ecology, or related fields; gap-year learners exploring career paths in ecotourism or conservation; educators and teachers looking to integrate sustainability into their education practices; hospitality and tourism professionals seeking to understand responsible tourism; and rural and community participants supported through CSR or institutional funding.
The conservation program aims to equip young learners with a modular, applied ecotourism learning experience that combines:
A practical blend of online study and real field exposure in nature and communities
Learning focused on ecotourism, sustainability, conservation, and community-based tourism
Opportunities to understand how tourism can support conservation and enhance local livelihoods
Exposure to professionals working in wildlife tourism, conservation, and hospitality
Why This Program Matters
